Inter-Services Intelligence of Pakistan's Director General, Naveed Mukhtar (ISI)

Naveed Mukhtar  Director General of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence.(ISI)
In the Pakistani Army, Lieutenant-General Naveed Mukhtar holds the three-star rank of an army general. He was appointed Director General of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence on December 11, 2016. From September 2014 to December 2016, he presided as the V Corps of Karachi's commander.
The Nankana Sahib region of the Punjab Province is where Naveed Mukhtar is from. He came from an Arain household at birth.

Military Career 

In 1983, Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar received his commission in the Armored Corps. In the 68th Pakistan Military Academy course, he enlisted in the Army. He advanced to the rank of Major with 13 Lancers. The Mechanized Division was under his command. In terms of intelligence, Naveed Mukhtar has a wealth of expertise. He had also served as the director of the ISI's anti-terrorism division in Islamabad.

He held the position of corps commander for Karachi until December 7, 2016. In September 2014, he received a promotion to lieutenant general and was assigned to Corps V of the army. On December 11, 2016, he was named the Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence.

Academic Career 

Naveed Mukhtar holds degrees from the prestigious United States Army War College in Pennsylvania, the Quetta Command and Staff College, and the National Defense University in Islamabad. Mukhtar completed his Master in Strategic Studies degree requirements at the US Army War College by writing a strategy research project report titled "Afghanistan - Alternative Futures and their Implications."
