Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan created Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as a political party in 1996. The party's key priorities are economic development, social fairness, and anti-corruption.

PTI received just 1.1% of the vote in the 1997 national election, failing to earn any seats in the National Assembly. Nevertheless, over the subsequent 20 years, the party progressively grew in popularity, and in the 2018 general election, PTI became the dominant force in the National Assembly by gaining 116 of the 272 seats that were up for grabs. This made it possible for PTI to take power and for Imran Khan to become Pakistan's prime minister.

The "Naya Pakistan" (New Pakistan) concept, which aspires to eradicate corruption and establish a welfare state, lies at the heart of PTI's main political platform. Additionally, the party has pledged to seek to boost the economy of the nation, bring about job growth, and make investments in healthcare and education.

Since taking office in 2018, PTI has taken several actions to carry out its election promises. These include the beginning of an anti-corruption campaign, the "Ehsaas" initiative, and a program to combat poverty. The party has been trying to upgrade the nation's infrastructure and has started several initiatives, including the building of new airports, highways, and power plants.

Despite its accomplishments, the PTI government has come under fire for things like growing prices and how it handled the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, the party continues to receive a sizable amount of public support, and it is anticipated that it will play a key role in the 2018 general elections.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is a political party that prioritizes social justice, economic development, and anti-corruption. It has developed from a minor party with limited electoral success to Pakistan's leading party, with Imran Khan as its leader and Prime Minister of Pakistan.
